Muhammad Abuhaikal

Muhammad Abuhaikal’s humble beginnings began at the age of 10 when his family immigrated to the United States and settled in The Bronx. The 32year old Arab Israeli American is a graduate of Lehman High School and attended Polytechnic/NYU where he majored in finance & business management and soon after became an officer within the NYPD.

While in uniform, Muhammad witnessed the dire living conditions within public housing where local seniors and families were forced to live in unacceptable living conditions. He also witnessed how small family owned businesses were forced to close their doors after decades of being apart of the community because of big business take over.

With helping the community in mind, Muhammad founded Haikal Consulting, LLC, which focuses on supporting small business owners and immigrant entrepreneurs in gaining basic access to resources in order for their business to grow. He also founded The Alliance for a Better Bronx, Inc., which is a non-profit organization that works to ensure that under served residents of The Bronx receive the benefits needed for basic living such as food, housing, and senior care.

Muhammad saw how these conditions affected his community and how time and time again politicians promised to fix things and nothing was ever done. He vowed to be a Councilman that belonged to the people and worked only for the people. Muhammad Abuhaikal is Nobody’s Councilman But Yours.
